Jeremy is a teacher, journalist, self-published author, and an aspiring entrepreneur. He currently teaches English at Cowden-Herrick High School. In August 2010, Rinkel completed his Master's degree in Educational Policy Studies with specialization in Globalization at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. At the U of I, he experimented and presented on a variety of technology resources for students and teachers. In May 2011, Rinkel was chosen by Scholastic, Inc. to be an Online Teacher Advisor blogger for grades 9-12 during the 2011-2012 school year. During his year with Scholastic, he blogged about developing a positive learning environment through the use of available technologies. In 2012, Rinkel launched The Writers App (http://thewritersapp.com), a website that provides tips and resources for beginning writers and aspiring authors.
